A fatal accident in western Travis County involving two pickup trucks killed a man and sent another patient to the hospital in critical condition just before 4 p.m. Sunday.
A fatal accident in western Travis County involving two pickup trucks killed a man and sent another patient to the hospital in critical condition just before 4 p.m. Sunday.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a red Chevrolet S-10 pickup and a white pickup truck were traveling westbound on Highway 71 in Spicewood, TX.
The red pickup tried to make a left turn onto Fall Creek Rd. That's when the white pickup rear-ended it.
The driver of the red pickup died at the scene. Paramedics took his male passenger to UMC Brackenridge in critical condition.
The driver of the white pickup had minor injuries.
Investigators have not determined if speed, alcohol or other factors were involved.
