A four car crash on Highway 281 south of Alice Texas leaves one dead early Monday morning. A little after 5 a.m. two 18-wheeler and 2 passengers' car crashed.
One Person Dead in Big Rig Accident near Alice
A second big rig slammed into the rear of the first trailer and caught on fire. The driver of the second rig and two other drivers were sent to the hospital after hitting debris. Southbound traffic is re-routed onto the northbound side. DPS is investigating.

The Ben Bolt Fire Department reported fighting the flames for about an hour before they went out. The others involved in the crash sustained no reported life threatening injuries.
