BURLESON -- Police say one person died in a Sunday morning crash in Burleson. A second person in the same vehicle was taken to a local hospital via helicopter. One person was killed, according to police. Police are investigating what caused the crash. The incident happened in the 200 block of South I-35W near Renfro Street at about 11 a.m.

BURLESON (CBSDFW.COM) — A crash along I-35W in Burleson killed one person and injured another Sunday morning, officials say. It happened shortly after 10 a.m. along I-35W at Renfro Street, according to the City of Burleson. Burleson police reopened I-35W around 3:30 p.m., according to the city’s Twitter account. Traffic on northbound I-35W, which was diverted to Hidden Creek Parkway while emergency responders cleared the roadway, was backed up for hours following the crash. One person died at the scene and another was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Police said Rawlinson and McDonough were ejected from their GMC Sierra pickup after it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup from behind and spun into a guardrail.
