Fort Worth Police Officer Fatally Strikes Pedestrian: PD

Police said two officers were in a vehicle traveling south on the 2700 block of Hemphill Street, south of downtown Fort Worth, when they struck and killed a man crossing the street.

Investigation Underway After Fort Worth Police Vehicle Hits, Kills Pedestrian

A public information officer for Fort Worth police confirmed there is an investigation, but he indicates the officer involved in the crash has not been taken off the streets.     

Pedestrian identified in fatal crash involving Fort Worth patrol car

The victim was Leopoldo Castaneda-Solis, who died at the scene, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's website on Tuesday.
