“Part of me is angry but a part of me wants to tell them he’s my dad, he has a family, says Cavett’s daughter Victoria Hunt. “He has a 12-year-old little girl. And if this ever happens to you again will you please come forward and not run.”
A serious crash occurred during a sleet and snowstorm Wednesday, on the I-30 Bridge in Rockwall, Texas. 58-year-old Terry Caveat’s pickup truck was struck by another car. Cavett exited his pickup to check on the condition of the other driver. Another vehicle was out of control and moving toward Cavett, so he jumped onto the edge of the bridge and fell about 20 feet. Neither vehicle stayed at the scene of the crash. Terry Cavett was moved from the ICU at Baylor Hospital in Dallas and is recovering from serious injuries. Authorities are asking the public to provide any information about this crash.
