Preliminary investigation uncovered that Pompa, according to police, had turned his truck around in a direction facing oncoming traffic and attempted to move “the cushions and sofa off the traffic lane to avoid a vehicle crashing into them.” That’s when a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Alejandro Martinez struck Pompa.
