2 critically injured in wrong-way crash in Baytown

Two drivers were airlifted to the hospital Tuesday morning after a major crash in Baytown.  Investigators say one of the drivers was traveling the wrong way on a highway.

A woman died after a wrong-way driver reportedly slammed into her van overnight.

Driver killed in wrong-way crash on I-10 in Baytown

Investigators said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but there were no immediate charges filed.

At around 2:30 a.m., a 25-year-old man was driving a vehicle the wrong-way on Highway 146. He slammed into a 36-year-old woman driving a white van head-on, and both drivers had to be airlifted to a hospital. The woman was eventually pronounced dead while the man is in serious condition. Their names have not yet been released.
