Man killed in crash after his SUV leaves road at high rate of speed.

A man died early Wednesday morning when he was thrown from his sport utility vehicle during a rollover crash along 610 Loop in northwest Houston.

The single-vehicle wreck happened about 2:15 a.m. in the 100 block of the North Loop frontage road, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said the man was driving a Isuzu Ascender eastbound on the roadway at a high rate of speed when he hit a curb and lost control. He died at the scene.

Police said the man was alone in the SUV at the time of the crash.
