Fatal crash knocks out electricity in NW Houston

An early-morning fatal crash caused over 1,500 residents to go without power for several hours in northwest Houston Monday while Centerpoint crews worked to restore power.
A crash caused over 1,500 residents to go without power for several hours in northwest Houston after a PT Cruiser flipped over and hit an electrical pole. The Cruiser was attempting to make an illegal u-turn when it was struck by a Nissan. The male passenger in the Cruiser died from impact and both drivers have been taken to the hospital.
