Houston police said two people were killed and two others were injured in a crash that shut down Highway 288 early Friday.

Houston police said they believe four women inside a Nissan Rogue got into some kind of argument, the driver lost control and flipped the vehicle near the 610 Loop.

Four people were in the car. Dayana Rodriguez, 17, and Abby Katherine Lee, 18, both student at Seven Lakes High School were killed. They were both in the front seat. Two passengers in the back were taken to the hospital and should survive.
It was about 4:00 a.m. when a car that witnesses say was driving erratically on Highway 288 left the roadway, drove up an embankment, and flipped. Before the incident witnesses claim they saw the car stop on the side of the road several times before driving and swerving across all of the lanes. So far, investigators believe that the four women inside of the vehicle may have been in some kind of argument. Two of the women, the driver and front-seat passenger, were found dead at the scene, while the other two were hospitalized and are expected to survive.
