Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run driver on East Freeway in Houston, Texas
INVESTIGATION INTO FATAL CRASH AT 6255 EAST FREEWAY
The victim was driving a gray Chevrolet Tahoe westbound on the East Freeway feeder road at the above address when he struck a green Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck parked on the side of the road near the Kress intersection. The owner of the pickup truck was outside his vehicle and witnessed the crash. He then attempted to detain the driver of the Tahoe until police arrived. The Tahoe's driver fled on foot and attempted to run across the main lanes of the East Freeway when he was fatally struck by an unknown Chevrolet Tahoe, whose driver was traveling westbound. The driver of the unknown Tahoe then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
