A pump at a gas station exploded in a ball of fire following a traffic crash Wednesday morning in northwest Harris County.

The wreck happened about 11 a.m. on Texas 249 near North Point, said an Assistant Chief Deputy of the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Police said no injuries were reported, though a woman who was in the station at the time of the blast had a medical emergency. She was treated at the scene. Details of her emergency and condition were not released.

Herman said three vehicles were involved in the wreck, which occurred near the station at the intersection of the two roads. One of the vehicles was shoved into a gas pump and the impact caused the pump to explode and burn. Flames engulfed the vehicle.

Firefighters sprayed the area with foam to extinguish the blaze.

Investigators are trying to determine what led to the crash. So far, no tickets have been issued and no charges have been filed.
