A man was taken to San Antonio on Sunday following a single-vehicle crash in Laredo that left him in critical condition, according to Laredo police.

41-year-old Zane David Richter was driving a 1976 jeep northbound on Highway 83 around 3:00 p.m. Police say he lost control of the vehicle and began veering off the road and into the grassy median. The jeep then struck a light pole, ejecting the driver and displacing the pole.
