A man was killed in a wrong-say crash Tuesday morning when he collided with a semi, police said.

San Antonio police first received a call about a black Mazda headed south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 281 near St. Mary's Street.
A few minutes later, a call for a wrong-way crash came in at 2:33 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 South at the Cesar Chavez Boulevard exit, police said.
The driver of a black Mazda 3 was going south in the northbound lanes and collided with a semi.
The man in the Mazda died at the scene, police said. The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital for back pain.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
