Bexar County Sheriff's motorcycle deputy injured, transported to hospital, after a crash on Highway 151 in west San Antonio.

A motorcycle patrolman with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office was injured Monday in a crash on the western border between San Antonio and unincorporated Bexar County.

The deputy, who was not identified, was responsive and his injuries are not life threatening, said a BCSO spokesman.

The deputy was on duty when he crashed on Highway 151 near Loop 1604, police said.

“It is my understanding, based on an initial report, that he was pursuing somebody for a traffic stop,” police said.

The accident is under investigation and Berry said no more details were available.
