Police say the man was driving a Honda Civic eastbound in the 5800 block of UTSA Boulevard just before 9 a.m. when he crossed into the westbound lanes, crashing head on into the woman's Toyota Echo. The wet roadway may have played a factor in the crash, police said.
Both parties were taken to the hospital, where one driver is in critical condition and one in serious condition. One of the drivers may not have been wearing a seatbelt. UTSA Boulevard was temporarily shut down to deal with the aftermath of the wreck.
