A 16-year-old girl was killed in a crash south of Salado. TxDOT reported that a fatal wreck was being investigated Friday morning just south of the rest area on northbound Interstate 35. Police report that a Chevy Suburban hit ice and ran off the interstate. The teen was reportedly ejected before the SUV rolled on top of her. Officials don't believe she was wearing a seatbelt.
