Donald Leroy Peterson, 72, was headed north on State Route 73 at about 2:45 p.m. when, for unknown reason, he drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a garbage truck. The collision took Peterson's life, but the truck driver was not hurt. Investigation into the cause of this crash is ongoing.
