Four people were injured, one critically, in a late Monday night crash on Interstate 15 in Juab County.

Four people were injured, one critically, in a late Monday night crash on Interstate 15 in Juab County.

The Utah Highway Patrol said the accident occurred about 9 p.m. when a northbound four-door sedan — possibly trying to avoid hitting wildlife on the road — went out of control and struck a concrete bridge railing near mile post 207 and the Mills Exit.

The car rolled, landing on it top and coming to rest on the bridge, blocking both travel lanes.

UHP said on Tuesday that three of the car’s occupants were taken by ground ambulance to Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi with non-life threatening injuries.

However, the fourth occupant was flown to an unspecified hospital by helicopter with critical head injuries.

UHP did not immediately release further information about identities or genders of the injured.
