Police on Thursday identified a 49-year-old man who died after a vehicle he was working on fell on him Wednesday night.
Salt Lake police said Mario Perez was working on the vehicle with a friend at a parking lot near 1800 West and Kimberly Circle, according to KSL.com. The friend left for about 20 minutes and returned to find the man pinned underneath the vehicle.
The friend and neighbors were able to remove Perez from underneath the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
