Sgt. Todd Royce said the driver of a Saturn Ion traveling southbound used the emergency turn around in the median to begin traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. The Saturn struck a northbound Dodge Grand Caravan head-on.

Jessie Jensen, of West Jordan, was traveling south on northbound Interstate 15 about 2:45 p.m., according to a news release from Utah Highway Patrol. Her sedan hit a minivan head-on near mile marker 182. Jensen died at the scene.
