A 2001 Freightliner semi-tractor and box trailer drove onto the shoulder and struck the Metro, pushing it 100 feet to the right of the shoulder, and killing the occupant.
A woman was stopped on the side of northbound I-5 at milepost 102, because her car was apparently disabled. A semi traveling at about 58 mph left the road and rear-ended the vehicle, and the woman was killed in the crash. No names have been released.
