One man dead in Mercer County after “workplace accident”
According to West Virginia State Police, they received a report of a “workplace accident” on Kellysville road around 11:30 AM. Once on scene, Troopers found Daniel McGrath, 24, of Beckley had died while working.

Police said Daniel McGrath, who was as a utility worker, was electrocuted while installing fiber optic wire from a bucket truck in Oakvale the morning of Jan. 11, according to WVVA’s reporting.
