Authorities said the man, who was driving eastbound down the hill on Greene Avenue, went through the stop sign at the intersection at Libal Street at more than 60 mph. His car hit two utility poles and a fire hydrant before coming to a stop on the north side of Greene Avenue. A short time later, the car caught fire.
