According to a police report of the incident, a woman had stopped her vehicle on the shoulder of the interstate and exited her vehicle when she was struck by a passing motorhome.

Benson, of California, stopped her car on the shoulder of the westbound lanes about 12:30 p.m. on July 9, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
