Someone driving down Door Creek Road Friday morning found the crash scene.
Passerby comes across deadly crash in Pleasant Springs
A passing motorist came upon a single-vehicle deadly crash just after 7:00 Friday morning and called the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies believe the man was traveling north on Door Creek, drove through a T-intersection at Highway MN and struck a tree head-on; however it was not clear when the crash occurred.
A crash was reported at the intersection of County Road MN and Door Creek Road at about 7:05 a.m. Friday. The driver, Chad J. Burress of Cottage Grove was traveling on Door Creek Road at a high rate of speed, ran a stop sign, went airborne, and struck a tree. He was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact time of the crash is not known.
