Medical Examiner identifies 58-year-old Milwaukee man killed in industrial accident

The machine was identified as a flesher — used to separate the fat from the hide or free hides from manure.
Juan Gonzalez of Milwaukee was killed in an industrial accident Sunday in Milwaukee. The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. at D.R. Diedrich & Company, a company that manufactures tanned leather, on W. Greves Street. Gonzalez was killed while working when he became trapped in a piece of equipment. The cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma. The death was ruled an accident, and OSHA will investigate.
