Police say 38-year old William Duitz was driving his ATV in the driveway in the 3800 of Monty Drive when for unknown reasons it went off the driveway and fell over a concrete embankment. The ATV fell about six feet and Duitz was thrown from the vehicle, and he died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Ludlow police say a 27-year-old Belchertown man was killed early Saturday morning when the all terrain vehicle he was riding on Miller Street in Ludlow overturned and landed on top of him. Ludlow Police Sgt. David Belanger said Thomas Brown was transported to the Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Authorities say a 30-year-old Hinesville man died in an all-terrain-vehicle wreck. Police say Dwayne Cornell Chapman was riding an ATV in Walthourville just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and struck a tree. Police say Chapman wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury when he was thrown from the ATV. Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene.

In Shelby County, a 37-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash on Saturday night. Troopers said Larry Hal Dyer Pierce Jr. was riding the ATV six miles south of Alabaster. The ATV left the roadway and overturned. Authorities said Pierce was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Franklinton woman riding an ATV died Wednesday after she disregarded a traffic signal and was struck by a car, State Police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Louisiana highways 450 and 16, State Police said. Cynamon A. Warden, 21, died of injuries at Interim LSU Hospital in New Orleans. State Police said the collision happened around 12:55 p.m. Wednesday after Warden, who was driving the Kawasaki four-wheeler on Louisiana 450, disregarded a flashing stop sign and red signal light as she crossed Louisiana 16.

A man was airlifted to the hospital Monday morning after he fell off an ATV and hit his head, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department. It happened just before 10 a.m. Monday in a cornfield near the 12000 block of M-40 in Bloomingdale Township, northwest of Paw Paw.

Police said two 12-year-old girls were injured in an off-road vehicle crash in Wells County Friday night. One of the girls was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital in serious condition after she was pinned underneath the ORV. According to Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers, Trinity Wine, 12, of Keystone, was driving a Polaris Ranger with passenger Tess Gilbert, 12, of Warren, on private property in the area of 1500 E. 900 S. in Keystone shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.

An Inverness teen who was driving an ATV without headlights or a helmet died in a crash in Citrus County on Monday evening. Florida Highway Patrol investigators say at about 8:39 p.m., 17-year-old Alexander Terraciano was driving the ATV on County Road 581. A 2003 Honda Civic driven by Barbara Jean Cross, 38, of Hernando, was driving behind Terraciano and hit the back of the ATV. Terraciano died at the scene of the crash. No charges were filed in connection with the crash.

A 7-year-old Mesa girl was hospitalized with severe head injuries after the all-terrain vehicle she was driving crashed into a block wall Sunday afternoon. Mesa police said the crash happened about 3:40 p.m. in the area of Broadway Road and Longmore. The girl was not wearing a helmet while on the ATV, which was built for a child, said a Mesa Fire Department spokesman said. Officials said the girl was being taught by her father to ride the ATV. The girl was taken to Maricopa Medical Center for treatment and reported in stable condition, according to police.

Authorities say a northern New Jersey man was killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving struck a parked car. Plainfield police stated that 21-year-old Piscataway resident Andrew Taylor was killed in the crash, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. Monday in the area of Central Avenue and Ninth Street. Authorities say Taylor was operating the vehicle illegally and was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later. No other injuries were reported in the accident, which remains under investigation.
