Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man suspected of a hit and run crash outside of Igot's bar in Lake Worth Tuesday.

When deputies approached the man and asked him about the crash, he said he, "heard a loud bang but wasn't sure what it was."

According to the sheriff's office, deputies were dispatched to 702 Lake Avenue in reference to a hit and run crash around 1 a.m.

Deputies spotted a vehicle matching the suspect's car speeding away from the location. A witness told deputies that the car crashed into a parked car at 215 Lakeside Drive.

A motorcyclist was in critical but improved condition Wednesday, the day after he collided with a car at a West Valley City intersection.

West Valley Deputy Police Chief Mike Powell said the 45-year-old victim’s vital signs had been stabilized, but he faced a long recovery from the severe leg injuries and head trauma he suffered in the Tuesday night accident.

A 92-year-old Texas man was killed Tuesday morning when he drove off of Interstate 20/59 in Tuscaloosa County and struck a tree, a representative for the Alabama State Troopers said Wednesday.

Sgt. Steve Jarrett said Dominic Tartaglione was from Lubbock, Texas, and the 2010 Toyota Prius he was driving Tuesday left the interstate near mile marker 85, five miles south of Brookwood. The car struck a tree around 10 a.m. and Tartaglione, who was not wearing a seat belt, was killed in the accident.

Fishers police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle crash that killed a 47-year-old Lebanon woman.

The motorcyclist, James Moore, 47, Lebanon, told police that he was riding north on Allisonville Road at about 5 p.m. Tuesday when traffic ahead of him abruptly stopped and he lost control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle, according to a Fishers Police Department news release.

Police are investigating a fatal collision between a motorcycle and a Washington County Sheriff's Office vehicle.

A Virginia State Police spokesman says 37-year-old Dennis D. Ford of Bristol was killed when his motorcycle crossed the center line while coming through a sharp curve and collided with a marked sheriff's office SUV.

Geller says the motorcycle spun out on its side and slid backward into the SUV.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on Route 665 near the intersection of Route 911.

A 35-year-old Taylorsville man remained in "extremely critical condition" on Wednesday, the day after he was hit by a car while trying to help people involved in an earlier crash.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said there had been no change in condition for Anthony Rodriguez, who was hit at 7:38 a.m. Tuesday while walking in the southbound lanes near 5225 South.

Rodriguez, who lives nearby, had just called 911 after witnessing a two-car collision in the intersection at Redwood Road and 5200 South.

An 18-year-old pickup driver from Ogallala has died in a collision on Interstate 80 near North Platte in western Nebraska.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday about three miles west of North Platte. Authorities say an eastbound pickup went out of control and crossed the median, striking a westbound semitrailer.

The pickup driver was identified as Timothy Dovel. The semitrailer was identified as 58-year-old Herbert Wilson, of Okeechobee (oh-kuh-CHOH'-bee), Fla. He was not injured.

A 78-year-old woman collided with a TriMet MAX train while she was behind the wheel of a small car in downtown Portland Tuesday afternoon, firefighters said.

Just before 3:30 p.m., the woman was pinned in her car after she crashed with the train near Southwest Broadway and Southwest Morrison Street, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.

The woman was taken to the hospital after crews forced her car's door open.

MAX Blue and Red lies were disrupted for almost an hour.

A 31-year-old Bend man was seriously injured Tuesday when his pickup truck crossed the centerline of US 97 near La Pine and collided with a commercial truck.

William Good was taken by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend with serious injuries, the Oregon State Police said.

The driver of the commercial truck, 34-year-old Juan Razo-Noriega was not hurt.

The crash closed the highway for 3.5 hours, officials said.

Damage was extensive after a 16-year-old driver drove her vehicle through the glass doors at the Lakeside Market on Lake Street in the Village of Wilson.

The driver, Katelyn Myers, of Wilson, was taken to a hospital for examination, but she was not seriously hurt. according to a Niagara County Sheriff's Capt.

Her mother, Carie Myers, who was her passenger, escaped injury, and nobody inside the store was hurt, police said.
