An Olympia police officer was parked on the 400 block of Fourth Avenue when he heard a car driving at a high speed. The car, a white Acura, lost control and hit several parked cars, including the officer’s car. The car also struck a woman in her 20s who was crossing the road near Jefferson Street. The 22-year-old driver of the Acura fled on foot. The officer was not injured and chased the man for eight blocks before losing sight of him behind a building.
