A 19-month-old boy and a 24-year-old man were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Athens County Friday afternoon. According to the Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash involved one vehicle along state Route 56 in Athens County at about 12:44 p.m. Investigators said a 1999 Nissan pick-up truck was traveling westbound on S.R. 56 when the driver traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree. A child was restrained in a child safety seat, and the driver was ejected and sustained serious, life-threatening injuries.

A teen is dead after a rollover crash in North Fort Worth. It happened in the 1000 block of Diamondback Lane off U.S. 287 early Tuesday morning. Police say a Jeep Cherokee SUV was heading east at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The Jeep rolled several times before stopping. The driver of the Jeep, an 18-year-old, was ejected and died at the scene. An 18-year-old passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 61-year-old woman was killed Friday after a head-on crash at the intersection of Northridge and Sadie Thomas roads. Pamela L. Graham, of Granville, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from the Granville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

A fatal car wreck forced police to close part of McDowell Road in east Phoenix on Thursday morning, according to a Phoenix police spokesman. Howard Wilson Laporte, 64, was traveling westbound on McDowell Road at 12:30 a.m. in an SUV on Thursday when the tread on his rear tire began to separate, said Sgt. Tommy Thompson, a Phoenix police spokesman. Investigators believe Laporte lost control of the SUV when the tire separated and slammed the vehicle into the side of the road, Thompson said.

A man is dead after a crash in Rowan County on Tuesday around 10 a.m. on Open Fork Road. Thomas Mabry, 52, of Morehead, was driving his truck when it left the road, hitting a concrete culvert. The impact threw Mabry from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. KSP says they do not think he was wearing a seat belt. The accident remains under investigation.

Two people were hospitalized following an accident at Koval Lane near Harmon Avenue Monday morning. The accident happened shortly after 2 a.m. Police say the victims, 27-year-old Chris Leichtweiss, who was driving, and 19-year-old Tiffany Nelson, who was a passenger, were riding their moped southbound on Koval, when a vehicle rear-ended them. The impact sent the moped forward approximately 300 to 500 feet and caused Leichtweiss and Nelson to become separated from the bike.

Authorities say a 30-year-old Hinesville man died in an all-terrain-vehicle wreck. Police say Dwayne Cornell Chapman was riding an ATV in Walthourville just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and struck a tree. Police say Chapman wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury when he was thrown from the ATV. Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities in Steuben County are investigating a fatal accident that killed an Addison man. The Sheriff's office says Aquila Byler, 22, was operating an ATV on a private road in Woodhull around 2 a.m. Saturday morning when he lost control and hit a tree. He and his brother were ejected, and he died later at a hospital. The brother is in critical condition.

A Norwalk man riding a motorcycle on Interstate 95 just before midnight Sunday in Stamford was killed when he drove into a construction vehicle. Armando Barrera, 38, of 77 Benedict St., Norwalk, was killed instantly in the crash, according to State Police. Trooper Kelly Grant said Barrera struck a construction truck while riding his motorcycle at 11:50 p.m., was thrown off the bike and then struck by another vehicle. The incident occurred in the northbound lanes, just before exit 9.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a 25-year-old woman from Greer died after the car she was in overturned on Interstate 26 Saturday around 10:15 p.m. Troopers said a 2000 Oldsmobile was heading east near mile marker 6 when the driver tried to avoid a deer, ran off the right side of the road and the car overturned. The driver and several passengers were injured and taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where one passenger was pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m. SCHP said the woman was thrown from the car. The Spartanburg County coroner said the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
