A man found dead Thursday in an ATV crash in the West Canyon area of Utah County has been identified as 63-year-old Michael Boren, of Lehi. Boren appeared to have been driving out of the right fork of the canyon when his ATV ran up an embankment and he was thrown to the ground, Utah’s Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon said. He said the vehicle rolled and came to rest on Boren, who was face down on the ground.

Authorities say a 30-year-old Hinesville man died in an all-terrain-vehicle wreck. Police say Dwayne Cornell Chapman was riding an ATV in Walthourville just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and struck a tree. Police say Chapman wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury when he was thrown from the ATV. Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Maddox Middle School eighth-grader died late Sunday night from injuries she sustained in an ATV crash earlier in the day. Gracie Abbott, 13, was airlifted to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham after the accident, which happened near Old Glory Drive, just off Fall City Road. Abbott was driving the ATV but lost control and the vehicle flipped, throwing Abbott and two of her cousins from the vehicle, officials said. Abbott was airlifted to the hospital with a severe head injury, but efforts to revive her failed.

One teen was killed and another injured Sunday after an all-terrain vehicle hit a tree in El Dorado. Arkansas State Police say it happened shortly after 6 p.m. as Antquese D. Frazier, 19, operated a 2003 Yamaha ATV south on Lakeland Street near Houston Street. According to an accident report, the ATV went out of control and was overcorrected. It then hit a tree. A passenger on the vehicle, 18-year-old Shakena L. Ford of El Dorado, died from unspecified injuries.

Two girls were taken to the hospital after they were injured Saturday evening in an ATV accident, police say. A 12-year-old, later identified as Stephanie Quinonez, and 16-year-old, later identified as Shiely Quinonez, were riding an ATV near 36th and Minnezona avenues, said Sgt. Steve Martos, spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department. The girls were trying to take a photo when the ATV they were riding on collided with a parked vehicle, Martos said.

Authorities in Steuben County are investigating a fatal accident that killed an Addison man. The Sheriff's office says Aquila Byler, 22, was operating an ATV on a private road in Woodhull around 2 a.m. Saturday morning when he lost control and hit a tree. He and his brother were ejected, and he died later at a hospital. The brother is in critical condition.

Paramedics and sheriff's deputies responded to an ATV crash about five miles into the Boise foothills Thursday morning. The crash happened just before 7:15 a.m. near the Hulls Gulch area. Authorities say an adult male was riding an ATV on a marked trail when he attempted to drive around a locked gate just off Sunset Peak Road, known by many as the 8th Street extension. The man rolled down a steep embankment and sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was able to call 911 and guide rescuers to his location.

In Shelby County, a 37-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash on Saturday night. Troopers said Larry Hal Dyer Pierce Jr. was riding the ATV six miles south of Alabaster. The ATV left the roadway and overturned. Authorities said Pierce was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says a woman was killed after being thrown from a four-wheeler she was driving on Sunday. The Sheriff's Office says Jessica Oras was with a group of people celebrating a birthday at Whitehurst Pond in Brooksville Sunday afternoon when the accident happened. Hernando County deputies and Fire/Rescue personnel responded around 5 p.m. where an investigation reveled Jessica Oras was driving the four-wheeler with her cousin Rachel Gernaat on the back. They were driving around the pond and as Oras sped up, they hit a bump and were both ejected from the ATV.

An Omak man faces a vehicular homicide charge after an ATV accident Saturday night that left his passenger dead. The victim, Charity R. Rumbolz, 24, of Omak, was found dead early today in Conconully Lake. Cain M. Bivins, 33, was booked into the Okanogan County Jail. Alcohol was a factor in the accident. Bivins was driving the ATV on Sinlahekin Road along the upper reservoir of Conconully Lake when he lost control on a sharp corner. The ATV went over a 100-foot cliff and into the water. Bivins was ejected but Rumbolz, who was wearing a seat belt, sunk with the ATV in about 30 feet of water.
