Officials say a car carrying five people left the roadway a crashed into a home in Manheim Township, Lancaster County.

The accident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday at 45 Toll Gate Station.

The Eden fire Chief says the car smashed into the house, taking out numerous walls and ending up in the master bedroom.

The home was unoccupied at the time.

The Lancaster County Rescue Task Force was called in to secured the building, but due to severe structural damage the home was condemned by Manheim Township Code Compliance officers.

A fiery accident Sunday morning closed the South Loop East from Woodbridge to Broadway.

A tanker-truck crashed on the northbound Gulf Freeway ramp to South Loop East about 7:30 a.m., according to the Houston Fire Department. HFD reported one fatality.

Flames spread over multiple lanes. HFD crews put out the blaze but cleanup efforts kept the roadway closed.

A man is fighting for his life after police say he ran into the street and was struck by a car.

Investigators say the 35-year-old man ran into the northbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard near Pratt Street shortly before 2 a.m. in the Summerdale section of the city.

As he was in the lanes, he was struck by a car that was driving by. The man suffered a severe head injury in the crash. He was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he is currently in critical condition.

Authorities are looking for a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that ended in a fatality in Tamarac Sunday morning.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, two trucks were involved in a crash on Commercial Boulevard near the Florida's Turnpike and one of the drivers got out to look at the damage.

When the driver, later identified as John W. Jenkins, got out, he was struck by another car. He suffered severe injuries and died, the BSO said.

The driver of the truck involved in the initial crash then fled the scene. The second car stayed at the scene.

Officials in Putnam County say one person was killed in a fatal crash on Intestate 70 early Sunday morning.

The crash shut the highway down in both directions for about two and a half hours from State Road 39 in Hendricks County to U.S. 231, which is just north of Cloverdale. All lanes reopened around 5:30 a.m.

Officials say a semi called police to report a car slid off the road and flipped in the median. The driver, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say roads in the area were extremely slick.

Traffic was backed up along Page Avenue in St. Louis County Sunday morning after a semi-truck accident. The northbound on-ramp from Page Avenue is closed as of 8:45 a.m., according to MoDOT.

Authorities said the driver was attempting to head north onto I-170 on-ramp from Page Avenue when the truck flipped over.

The driver reportedly suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt.

It is unclear what the semi-truck was hauling.

Don J. Foster suffered injuries to his head, chest, arms and legs in the hit-and-run accident that happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday. The medical examiner ruled the death an accident. A witness told police Foster was walking south across Mission Avenue on the east side of a bridge spanning the Spokane River when he was first hit. Investigators are still looking for a tan or gold SUV that is believed to be the first vehicle that struck Foster. The force of that impact sent him into the westbound lanes where he was hit at least twice more.

Oswaldo Lopez, the man accused in the hit-and-run death of an 11-year-old boy on Federal Boulevard, was charged Tuesday morning with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Lopez, 21, has been in jail since Sunday night, when he was arrested at his home in Aurora. Several people were in the Denver courtroom to support Lopez, but all declined to comment.

A 22-year-old Bremerton man was killed late Sunday in an Interstate 5 collision near Mountlake Terrace involving a tanker truck filled with liquid nitrogen. A Honda Accord passed the tanker truck in the HOV lane, swerved to the left, hit the barrier, then swerved back to the right and hit the truck. The car was crushed by the truck, which was carrying about 7,000 pounds of liquid nitrogen. Washington State Patrol reported it took several hours to unload the nitrogen from the truck. All northbound lanes of Interstate 5 were closed until about 7:45 a.m.

Officials say a man crashed into a utility task vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol. Indiana Conservation Officers say 62-year-old Glen Rush was driving on County Road 350 North in Johnson County around 3:30 p.m. Sunday when he struck a UTV attempting to cross the road. Rush subsequently struck a mailbox made of mortar and brick. No one was seriously injured in the crash, but officials have determined Rush was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He is facing an OWI charge and was taken to the Johnson County Jail.
