Police say a possible drag race may have led to the death of a juvenile pedestrian in Rockville Friday afternoon. Montgomery County police were called to the crash involving two cars and two pedestrians on Muncaster Mill Road between Shady Grove Road and Woodfield Road at approximately 3 p.m. Both drivers were juvenile, police said. The two cars were traveling north on Muncaster Mill Road, which merged from two lanes into one lane, causing the collision. One of the cars went off the road and hit two of three juvenile pedestrians.

An Avondale man was killed after he was ejected from his pick-up truck in a crash Friday morning (Jan. 24). Tyler Bourgeois, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at Highway 90 and West Tish Drive in Avondale, said a spokeswoman for the State Police. Bourgeois was driving southbound on West Tish about 6:30 a.m. when investigators said he disregarded a stop sign and tried to cross the westbound lanes of Highway 90, Matey said.

An icy road caused a driver in Perryville to crash into a CSX train early Thursday morning, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office reported. The driver, later identified as Patti Pucci 18, was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with unknown injuries after the crash, which was reported at 6:55 a.m. at the Jackson Station Road crossing just outside the town of Perryville, Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Michael Holmes said. The driver was in a Hyundai Sonata. No further details about the driver were immediately available.

Two teenagers are accused of stealing a school district van and crashing through the locked gate at the bus facility to flee. Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday to the Walkerville Public Schools bus facility on a report of damage to the fence at the gated bus garage.

Downed power lines closed a road in Swatara Township in Lebanon County for more than an hour after an SUV crashed into a utility pole earlier Wednesday, state police said. Neither the 17-year-old female driver nor the 16-year-old male passenger of the 1998 Ford Ranger were seriously injured in the crash, which police said took place around 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Greble Road in Lebanon.

Police investigating a two-car crash at South Main Street and Boulevard in West Hartford on Sunday afternoon said a 17-year-old driver ran a red light and struck a Toyota SUV. Police said the teen was driving a red Subaru on South Main Street, ran a red light and hit a Toyota Sequoia that was traveling west on Boulevard. Police said the impact caused the Toyota to roll over and hit a Mercedes that was parked in the lot of 81 South Main Street, shearing off a large traffic control box.

A husband and wife from Hanover died Sunday evening when a backhoe operated by a teenager drove into the path of their car on Route 116 in Heidelberg Township, York County, Southwestern Regional Police said. Police identified the victims Monday as Roy Kline Jr., 86, and his 85-year-old wife, Lorraine. They did not identify the 17-year-old who was operating the backhoe and who lives near the scene of the accident. The investigation of the crash is continuing, police said.

Milwaukee police said a 16-year-old boy is dead after a crash early Thursday. The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. near North 33rd Street and Capitol Drive. Police said the 2004 Jeep he was in was traveling east on Capitol Drive when it left the roadway and struck a tree in the median. Police said they are trying to determine whether he was driving or there were other people in the SUV that left the scene. The Jeep was reported stolen on Jan. 14.

One of two snowmobiles riding together crashed into an unoccupied ice fishing trailer on a western Wisconsin lake late at night, killing a 20-year-old woman riding behind the drunken operator on the trailing machine, authorities said Thursday. The crash occurred about 10 p.m. Wednesday on Bone Lake, southeast of Luck, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The woman suffered “severe head injuries” despite wearing a helmet, the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
