On Wednesday night about 20 min after the accident occurred and Mr. Waddle was struck, the police and rescue were at the scene. By that time I believe Mr. Waddle had passed away. From what I could see as my husband and I drove by. Three hours later when my husband and I came back home about 12:30am, the police was still there. I told my husband that there was no way the police could still be there after three hours. I then told my husband that they better had moved the man by now. Nope, as we drove by, Mr. Waddle was still lying there in the middle of Mayport Rd half covered with a blanket of some sort. This upset me a great deal because there was no reason to have left the poor man just lying there in the middle of the road as if he was a spectacle. I was very angry at the way the police handled this matter. They could have given the man some dignity and took him away much earlier than that instead of taking their sweet time removing him from the scene. Shame, shame, shame on the police who responded.

I witnessed this and it was very sad.please pray for this mans family as they receive this news.
