Carlos Phillips, 23, killed, one other injured, taken to hospital, after a two car crash on Hamilton Avenue in Springfield Township.

A man has died after a crash in Springfield Township Sunday morning. Springfield Township police were sent to the 10000 block of Hamilton Avenue around 3:20 a.m. for reports of an accident with injuries. Upon arrival, police said they found a Chevy Cobalt, driven by Carlos Phillips, 23, was traveling southbound on Hamilton Avenue when it crossed the center line and struck a Hyundai. According to police, Phillips and another passenger were taken to UC Medical Center for their injuries. Phillips was pronounced dead at the hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash. Investigators said they believe alcohol and drugs may have played a factor in the crash.
