“These are the kinds of things that are very difficult for the people on board the train as well as for the Caltrain staff,” said spokesperson Christine Dunn.
Palo Alto teen killed by Caltrain early Tuesday
The teenage boy Tuesday was the second to be killed by Caltrain in less than a month, following the death of another unidentified young man Oct. 15. The victim Tuesday was a student at Gunn High School, which between 2009 and 2010 had five students with ties to the school die on the tracks.
Gunn High School student Cameron Lee, 16, died after he was hit by a train south of the California Avenue station about 1 a.m. in Palo Alto. The death appears to have been a suicide.
