Motorcyclist killed at Earhart Expressway and Dickory Avenue in East Jefferson

A motorcyclist was killed shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Friday evening (July 10) after his vehicle struck a small levee on Dickory Avenue near the intersection of the Earhart Expressway, and he "went airborne," state police say. As Clouston crossed Dickory Ave., he struck Dickory Avenue's neutral ground and then "rolled up a small levee and went airborne," according to the police account of the investigation. The motorcyclist, 39-year-old Shawn Clouston of Canonsburg, Pa., was found dead on the scene, state police said. According to a release issued by state police, the investigation found that the crash likely happened when Clouston was speeding north on the Earhart Expressway.
