Two people were killed and 11 others injured after a pickup truck crashed into a group of bicyclists Saturday morning in Arizona.

Goodyear police announced that 26-year-old Pedro Quintana-Lujan is jailed on suspicion of two counts of manslaughter, three counts of aggravated assault, 18 counts of endangerment and two counts of causing serious injury or death by a moving violation.

Authorities say the driver was 26-year-old Pedro Quintana-Lujan.

“There is no indication that his was an intentional act or anything but an isolated incident,” Rodriguez said.

One of the victims was 65-year-old David Kero, who was visiting from Michigan. The other was a Valley resident, 61-year-old Karen Malisa.

The police department recommended misdemeanor charges against Quintana-Lujan which include two counts of causing the death of another by a moving violation and six counts of causing serious physical injury to another by a moving violation.
