Therese Papagayo and one child killed when struck by metro train at California Avenue and Duarte Road in Monrovia, California
The train was operating on the L Line, formerly known as the Gold Line, and was going northbound from the Monrovia Station when it hit the pedestrians, Montenegro said.
The woman was identified by the coroner’s office as 36-year-old Therese Papagayo of Monrovia. The boy has been listed as unidentified by the coroner’s office. The child was believed to be under 2 years old, according to Montenegro.
