Police arrested the driver, 31 year-old Kevin Mauricio Paredes-Orozco of Suisun City, and he now faces multiple charges including vehicular manslaughter, DUI, hit and run and reckless driving.

Donald Fitch Jr., 58, of Vacaville, died early Saturday when a Toyota Highlander that the California Highway Patrol said was traveling 100 mph on eastbound Interstate 80 collided with him. CHP officers saw the Toyota near the Cutting Boulevard exit around 1:40 a.m. and saw it hit the motorcycle as they tried to catch up, the agency said.

The collision caused Fitch Jr. to fly off the motorcycle, and he died at the scene.

The CHP arrested 31-year-old Kevin Mauricio Paredes-Orozco, of Suisun City, on suspicion of DUI, vehicle manslaughter, hit-and-run, and reckless driving. The CHP pulled him over after the crash after they say he did not attempt to stop on his own.
