93-year-old man dies after being hit by cable car in SF
A 93-year-old man died on Monday from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a cable car on Sunday while walking in a crosswalk on Mason Street in San Francisco, police said.
The collision occurred at 3:10 p.m. near the intersection of Mason and Filbert streets, San Francisco Police Department officials said.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, was walking across Mason Street in a marked crosswalk when the southbound cable car hit him, knocking him to the ground and causing serious injury, police said.
