Authorities say a driver was killed when his SUV was struck by a freight train and landed in a ditch in a Ventura County agricultural area.
A man driving an SUV was killed after his vehicle was hit by a freight train at a crossing near Camarillo shortly before 8:30 in the morning. The collision propelled the car about 200 feet into a ditch, where the man was found dead at the scene. No one else was hurt in the accident.
