Federal Officer Marc Izquierdo, 53, killed in a motorcycle accident on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami, Florida

A motorcycle accident took place Saturday night, killing a Miami International Airport federal officer. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer Marc Izquierdo, 53, of Hialeah, was traveling northbound on the Palmetto Expressway at a high speed when he lost control on the ramp to northbound I-75. Izquierdo struck a guardrail and was thrown from the motorcycle. Izquierdo was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
