Tony Knight, 53, killed, after his bicycle is struck by a car driven by Michael Sanders, 45, while he is riding on N. 25th Street in Fort Pierce.

Fort Pierce police officers are investigating a traffic crash that left a 53-year-old man dead.

On Friday around 5:45 p.m., Fort Pierce resident Tony Knight was riding a bicycle west across North 25th Street near Avenue G.

Knight was hit by a vehicle driven by Michael Sanders, according to police. Sanders was heading north on North 25th Street.

Sanders, 45, of Fort Pierce underwent a toxicology test and investigators are awaiting results.
