The accident occurred Wednesday at approximately 3:55 p.m. after two semi's collided head on.

The patrol says the driver who swerved was injured and his passenger, 42-year-old Arturo Mora, of Chaparral, New Mexico, was killed. Also killed was the driver of the second tractor-trailer, 36-year-old Patricio Maturino, of El Paso, Texas.
