At the same time, Clark T. Anderson, 56, Holdrege, Nebraska, was southbound on U.S. 83 in a 2010 Peterbuilt semi. Anderson swerved to avoid a collision with another southbound vehicle that had slowed or stopped to turn. The semi entered the northbound lane and struck Berry's pickup.
