A 49-year-old man from Andover, MN was riding a snowmobile at around 2:30 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a turn and left the trail, hitting some trees. First aid was administered until first responders could arrive with a rescue vehicle to transport him to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.

Amber Franks, 22, struck by falling tree while riding ATV in White Township, Minnesota

Amber Franks of Alexandria was riding an ATV along a trail in White Township on Thursday afternoon when she was struck by a large falling tree. Franks was seriously injured and brought to the hospital in unknown condition. The tree was apparently blown down by high winds.

Clarence H. Pistorius, 76, killed in ATV crash near Sisseton, South Dakota

Clarence H. Pistorius was riding a four-wheeler in eastern South Dakota at about 8 p.m. on a rural street when his tires lost traction on the shoulder of the road and rolled. The 700-pound machine pinned him underneath, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have Holly Hoglund Klein, 44, as the driver who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday on Interstate 94 just west of Hasty, after a semi truck collided with several vehicles. At least two other drivers suffered injuries.

According to the Duluth Police Department, at 10:15 Friday morning a Jeep Cherokee was traveling west on Grand Avenue when its driver lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, and was struck by a Nissan Rogue. Then, a third vehicle struck the Jeep on the 8500 block of Grand Avenue.

Nordeen was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 7 at about 5:50pm when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head on with a southbound car containing two people, before a third vehicle finally struck the rear of Nordeen's pickup truck.

Wayne Waller, 77, critically injured after possible heart attack behind the wheel on Highway 2 near Cloquet, MN; Waller was kept alive by the actions of four good Samaritans

Joan L. Eischen of Comfrey, Minnesota was killed when her northbound car slid on ice on County Road 16 and was struck by a southbound semi. The truck driver, Michael J. Lux, 60, of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota was not injured in the collision. The accident happened at around 8:50 a.m.
