Pedestrian struck by train in Swanton

Swanton Police confirm that a pedestrian was struck by a train on Main St. shortly after 10:30 p.m. Friday night.

Just after 10:30pm, witnesses claim they saw Brian Ueberroth, 41, fall onto the train tracks on Main Street, where he was then struck by a train and killed. It is currently unknown why he fell onto the tracks or if he was trying to cross, but police are currently investigating to see if alcohol contributed to the accident.
