Man in his 20's killed, after his motorcycle, traveling at a high rate of speed, crashes on southbound Research Boulevard in north Austin.

A motorcyclist is dead after a North Austin crash.

Officials say it happened around 9:50 a.m. in the 7800 block of southbound Research Boulevard.

The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control and crashed. Austin-Travis County EMS officials performed CPR on the motorcyclist, a Hispanic male, later identified as Jonathan Samuel Moreno, 25, and he was later pronounced dead.

No other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured. Officials have not yet released the man's name.
